Founders Breakfast Stout

We're feasting on beef stew and mashed potatoes that Jay made this evening, and we figured that our last Founders Breakfast Stout would pair well. We're in a bit of a hurry, though, because we don't want to miss the season finale of The Bachelor; please excuse our brevity.


Jay: There's a strong smell of coffee and something grainy, which I think must be the oatmeal. The mouthfeel is thick, smooth, and almost syrupy. Mild hop tingle initially, sour grain/malt taste afterwards. A strong, even coffee and oatmeal taste lingers. Great flavor overall. 8.5/10

Claudia: Coffee. Allspice. Bitter. 8/10
