Happy one-year anniversary! We've decided to mark this festive occasion by drinking an authentic Belgian lambic.
Jay: Wow. The first sip caught me off guard and made my face pucker. The initial smell and taste are alarmingly similar to skunky weed, but after a few tastes, I'm overwhelmed by a delicious cider-y raspberry taste that's more sour than that of any beer I've ever had. It's like I'm drinking a Warhead sent from heaven. This is my first real lambic, and I'm very, very impressed. 9/10
Claudia: When I took a whiff, it immediately conjured skunky weed and moss; however, this was offset by its extreme sourness. At first, the sourness is overwhelming, but then gives way to raspberry and faint traces of lime. It's light and leaves a slightly metallic aftertaste. I wonder about what foods would go with this beer. It seems like only a mild vanilla ice cream would do. I would like to drink this beer a lot this summer. 9/10
